Stephen is an award winning freelance lighting designer for stage, film and television.  His work is regularly seen on TV, where he has served as a lighting director for the NBA’s special events, Global Citizens Live, and the NCAA Final Four Concert.  Theatrically, he has been recognized three times with Kennedy Center Certificates of Merit for his lighting designs and in 2020 received the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Lighting Design (Chicago’s top theatre prize) for the world premiere of All Quiet on the Western Front.  Stephen is an Associate Professor of Theatre & Film at the University of Toledo.
